LIMERICK

     Limericks are part of English folk culture and many of them are of unknown origin. They are easy to remember. Limericks have survived the test of time. Limericks usually make people laugh. 

    Part II of Std. X English Text book starts with a limerick. Inspired by it Ms. Jismy Rose, H.S.A. English of St. Antony's H.S.S. Puthukkaad, wrote a limerick on the chapter 'The Beggar and the King'. THE BEGGAR AND THE KING

O, King with a crown on head

And has a frown on forehead

     Yea, wiser in words

     Yet miser in deeds

All the crowd want him dead.
